ABOUT US

Green, since 1939.

History was made in the 1920s when Andrew Keiding, a chemist by trade, began making paper mache flower pots in his kitchen. He sold these floral containers, made from old newspapers and wax, to local churches. Demand for the pots grew and in 1934, seeing an opportunity, Andrew Keiding filed a patent for Molded Paper Article and the Art of the Manufacture Thereof. In 1939 Andrew Keiding founded Keiding Paper Products Company – Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the history of manufacturing heavy-wall molded pulp/molded fiber in the United States was born.

Custom machinery was built by local craftsmen and a series of patented tooling gave way to Keiding’s renowned line of floral containers.
Many of the original molding techniques continue to be utilized in our protective packaging manufacturing today.

In 1955 Keiding relocated to a more modern and spacious 60,000 sq ft facility, the very same manufacturing and warehouse space we occupy today.

Since our founding in 1939 Keiding has manufactured hundreds of molded paper products including floral and nursery containers.

Today, as it has been since the early 1990s, our focus remains the custom design and manufacture of molded pulp products for protective packaging applications. Our future, like our past, demands that we provide quality products and services that exceed the expectations of our customers.
